On Saturday, March 31, 2012, the University of Colorado-Denver, Metropolitan State College of Denver, Colorado Young Adult Advocates in Libraries (C’YAAL), City of Boulder Public Library, The Colorado Language Arts Society, Pikes Peak Library District and fleetthought.com will present the 23rd annual Colorado Teen Literature Conference. Attendees are expected to number over 400 and will include area librarians, teachers, young adults, parents, college students, and education professionals interested in young adult literature.
This year we are pleased to present authors Todd Mitchell (Traitor King and The Secret to Lying) and Maggie Stiefvater (Wolves of Mercy Falls, Shiver, Linger, Forever, and The Scorpio Races). In addition, there will be concurrent sessions offered on topics of interest to teen readers and the librarians and teachers who work with teens.
Conference hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Exhibit traffic will be heaviest during the luncheon/keynote session in the middle of the day.
Exhibitor fees are $50 for commercial participants, $30 for nonprofits. This includes a table in a high traffic area, lunch, keynote speeches and concurrent sessions. Exhibitors may sell or take orders for merchandise. This will be a good opportunity for meeting new clients and networking. We recommend that you provide at least a 10% discount for orders taken at the conference.
If exhibiting is not a possibility this year, you may wish to choose the "Materials Distribution Only" option. For a $10 fee, we will include your brochure in registration packets, (approximately 400 flyers or brochures would need to be provided), or catalogs could be set out for participants to pick up. Please visit the Exhibitor Registration page to register your organization as an exhibitor!
